Today, I sadly must write, as I sit in a Bocas del Toro, Panama hotel that the "Ring of Fire" Earthquake Zone (or as it is called in Spanish; a zona de tierramoto, as I learned watching CNN en Español.) This 8.6 quake was 100 to 200 times more vicious than the recent quake centered just off Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Sad

Chile´s death toll has exceeded 200 (and surely will grow as search teams delve into rubble even more extensively,) but obviously, the toll of carnage was much worse in Haiti due to its location on land, and Haiti´s miserable building codes. Chile is indeed most fortunate due to the epicenter´s location and fairly stringent codesfor its cities´edifices. Confused

Is this a signal of more activity in the so-called "Ring of Fire"? Quite possibly as the stress zone was only partially relieved by the 400 mile underwater fracture. Crying or Very sad

Stay tuned to TWG and of course, your television media, for more reports. Sad

Godspeed to all; may the earth recede to a long mode of peaceful tectonic activity. This is what I hope for at any rate. Shocked

BTW: good reports from www.TropicRiverWoods.com The land is responding and IS NOW a truly recreated bosque tropicales! I have not seen the property in about a year due to health issues. Wink

It looks fantastico! I STILL utilise conventional film processing, so will have to wait till Walgreens´Drugstore back in Florida, develops my photo CD. I think that they will be worth the wait (from what I´ve seen today (and will see again, tomorrow! Smile

Pablito, signing out! Wink
Have a nice weekend, y´all from NW Panama!
Cool
